Terms & Conditions of Entry
Artists should submit a separate form with a payment entry fee of $30 per adult or $15 per youth (12 to 25) for each entry to the Competition.
There is no restriction on the size or nature of the entry, but please note the following conditions:
- You can suggest your preferred location (see location map), but final decisions on siting are made by the Installation Supervisors.
- You will be competing for a range of prizes.
- You can nominate your entry for sale, with a 20% commission payable to the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council. The fee will go towards staging the AquaSculpture11 event.
- Sculptures cannot damage the environment or pathways.
- Works considered by the Installation Supervisors/Curator to be unsafe or inappropriate will not be exhibited.
- Transport, installation and removal of works is the responsibility of the artist.
- Maintenance of sculptures during the exhibition is the responsibility of the artist.
- At various times, the Town Green is exposed to high winds. It is the responsibility of entrants to ensure sculptures are firmly secured.
- Whilst there will be security patrolling from 6pm to 6am daily, artists are responsible for insuring their works against loss or damage.
- To be eligible to submit an entry you must provide a copy of your Certificate Of Currency for public liability insurance with a minimum cover $10 million.
- If you are wanting to submit a sculpture to be installed on Site 9, the closing date for entry forms is 1 September to allow the necessary approvals to be sought from the Waterways Authority.
Works are to be installed on the afternoon of Friday 14 October or the morning of Saturday 15 October. Please liaise with the Installation Supervisors for your location. Works are to be de-installed on Sunday 23 October.
